Diagnostics and electronics
Computer diagnostics, ECU coding and electrical faults
Plenty of mobile mechanics can pull a code off a reader. Fewer will tell you what it means. Fewer still can write to the modules once the fault is fixed.
What this covers
- Full system scan
- Every module, not only the engine light. A stored code is a symptom. We test to confirm the cause before anyone touches a spanner.
- Engine, transmission and electrics
- Warning lights, limp mode, and the faults that only turn up on cold mornings.
- ECU coding and programming
- A replacement module is a brick until the car is told it exists. We write it in.
- Adaptation and calibration
- Throttle bodies, steering angle sensors, battery registration, transmission adaptations after a repair.
- Service interval resets
- Including the ones the dashboard won’t let you clear yourself.
- Wiring faults
- Tracing an intermittent back to the actual break. The alternative is replacing parts until it stops, which gets expensive quickly.
What we work on
European, American, Japanese. And medium trucks.

The European electronics is what we get called for most. It’s the work shops quote a fortune for and other mobile mechanics turn down.
What it costs
$150, at your vehicle
Comes off the repair in full if you go ahead. That buys a scan, an interpretation, and a test to confirm the cause. Not a code read off a thirty dollar reader and a shrug.
Tell us what the car’s doing
Year and model, the symptom, and where it’s parked. That’s usually enough to quote it.
